Two hour delay for Western this morning. Roads are bad and I don’t anticipate having to close but the radar shows that it is going to keep snowing for a while so more than anything just want to make sure we don’t hit something really hard coming down while buses are out and a delay should take care of that problem.
High School Winter Sports Banquet will be- Tuesday, March 12th at 6:30pm in the high school cafeteria.
The Heart for Art field trio for students in k-6th has been cancelled for tomorrow. Reschedule date is March 22nd.
Bus 9 will be running about 15 to 20 minutes late this morning due to an unexpected driver call off this morning.
The Health department will be coming in today from 10:00 until 2:00 to give immunizations for any student going into 7th and 12th grade next fall. Parents must come in to complete a permission slip if you did not send one in with your student. This is a great opportunity to take advantage of getting your kids shots. This is required by law for your student to attend school.
Track practice is canceled for today 3/4/2019.
Due to no school, we are canceling tonight’s workshop. We will not reschedule but will just have one workshop tomorrow. Please make plans to attend. 3:30-5:30.
We will be operating on a two hour delay for Monday, March 4, 2018. The main roads are in pretty good shape but most or all of the hills are snow-covered.
Students who ride Penny May’s bus 12 will be leaving early today. We will be sending them out of here at 2:15 today. If you have any questions or concerns about your students leaving early please call 740-493-3113.
Students who ride bus 14 will have an alternate bus schedule in the morning. I made a one call explaining the changes. If you have a student on bus 14 and did not receive the one call please call me at 740-222-8311 and I will explain the changes.
Marvin just left the school headed to start Brandis’ route. He should be at the first pick up around 7:55 which would make the entire route running about an hour late.
We will have to double route for bus five this morning due to an unexpected situation. All of our subs are currently driving. Soon to ride bus five will be picked up approximately one hour later than normal today. We will be sending a bus from school at around 730 and I will make a call and text to let you know when the first students will be picked up. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Prom will be Saturday, May 11th at Christopher’s Conference Center in Chillicothe. We will have the grand march at the school as always before students leave to go to prom venue.

Bus eight had bus trouble this morning and we will be running late. First pick up won’t be until around 745 or so so I wanted to let you know so your kids are not be standing out in longer than they have to. I will send a message as soon as the bus starts getting ready to pick kids up.
Just a reminder that tonight is the boys sectional final game at 8:30 at Waverly. They will clear the stands tonight after the North Adams Piketon game if you go to the first game you will have to pay again to get into the western game. We want to pack the stands with green and white so all the fans wear green and white tonight and we want a huge pep section so all students make sure you sit in the pep section tonight to support the boys. Due to several conflicts, the theater workshops that were scheduled for Feb. 20th and 21st and the auditions that were scheduled for February 23rd are canceled. We will reschedule within the next week or so.
As if we haven’t had enough bad luck we now are in a power outage and the electric will not be on until at least 930 according to AEP. In order to have school we have to have lunch started by no later than 8 o’clock so it’s not gonna be possible to have school today due to a major power outage that is affecting almost the entire district in addition to the school itself.
